“I love the way Sharon looks at the world of pet care. Her passion is contagious and she was able to get our entire staff revved up about their jobs. She has ignited a spark in our practice that has allowed it to see growth, and we have all grown a lot personally. This is exactly how I envisioned my practice would some day be.”

At 3:03 in the afternoon, on April 24th, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during the Chinese calendar year of the dog and under the astrological birth sign of Taurus, the Bull, Sharon J. Hetrick was born.
Perhaps because of this exact, perfect moment in time; Sharon was destined by fate to have a strong bond with animals. (It could have also been the fact that she was born an “only” child and grew up with a home full of puppies, kitties, bunnies, fish, parrots, a cow, pony, piglet and even a raccoon.) But regardless of the “why”, animals were a center point in Sharon’s life.
Sharon displayed a vivid imagination and often wrote stories about her pets. She also displayed a robust knack for marketing, which was evidenced by her thriving summer lemonade stands and superior candy sales for the Blue Birds Organization.
Sharon decided to combine her love of animals, passion for writing and knack for marketing and create her dream career.
Today, Sharon is a marketing mentor, devoted to working with veterinarians, helping them to grow their practices while teaching them how to offer better service to their clients and patients in order to increase compliance. She also stresses the importance of establishing an abundant personal life and integrates her marketing strategies to incorporate a practice and lifestyle that is both profitable and enjoyable.
Sharon is extremely passionate about making sure that all human companions are properly educated about their pet’s health needs. She truly believes that “Every Pet Needs A Vet” and infuses veterinary practices with that same philosophy – which is quite contagious!
It’s important to her to have fun; (smile and laugh a lot!) live creatively, take risk and help others reap rewards while still being professional. Living a full, well-rounded and enjoyable life is her ultimate goal. And, she practices what she teaches.
Sharon is a graduate of the University of California in Los Angeles, with a second graduate diploma from the American Writers and Artist Institute, in Del Rey Beach, Florida.
She has taught and lectured over 5,000 students for Joe Stump’s Marketing University in San Diego. She’s been a guest lecturer on marketing for Hobbs and Herder International Advertising Agency, the Daily News-Los Angeles, and several newsletter driven companies such as Terry Hunnefelds “Gold Rush” Marketing Review. She has been a successful business owner for over fifteen years with no plans to ever retire.
She holds a certificate of completion with the California Wildlife Center where she has trained with wild animals and marine species. She is also certified by The U.S. Coast Guard, Marine Flotilla No. 12-04, the largest and most active Flotilla on the West Coast where she specializes in marine rescue of seals, dolphins and whales. She volunteers at CWC hospital and participates in animal rescue and recovery.
Sharon lives in Malibu, California, with her husband, David, three sons, Brandon, Cameron and Ryan, along with Louie Howard, a handsome Bullmastiff, who is also her “barketing” partner.
When she’s not working, Sharon can be found boating with her family, traveling the world or taking care of hear health and spiritual fitness. If she’s not in one of those places, simply check out the local rescue center where she is devoted to helping the worlds four legged and furry friends, winged wonders, reptiles, and aquatic creatures.
